Saniya Khan is an exemplary woman. Having immigrated to Canada from Pakistan in 1999 with her husband and two children, she is the personification of dedication. A woman with passion, love, and a keen eye, Saniya has been a designer since 1990, working in both the European and Asian markets before settling in Canada. Her design style is very reflective of her personal style; effectively combining elegance and comfort with the art of simplicity. Saniya finds inspiration from all parts of life; the streets, people, nature, architecture, history, literature, and even dreams. Her fall/winter 2010 collection is about connecting with one’s ancestry and how to make this relationship with one’s past relevant to contemporary life.
